Privacy Policy

InfoConn Technologies (“InfoConn”, “we”, “us”) provides a software platform that schools, academies and training businesses use to manage students, attendance, fees, communication and their public website. This policy explains what information we handle, why, and the choices available to you.

1. Who is responsible for your information

InfoConn is the platform provider. Each school, academy or training business that uses InfoConn (a “tenant organization”) decides what information it records about its staff, teachers, students and parents. For that information, the organization is the controller and InfoConn acts as a processor on its instructions.

For information we collect directly — for example when someone signs up for an InfoConn account, contacts us, or visits our public website — InfoConn is the controller.

2. Information we handle

  • Account and contact information: name, email address, mobile number, organization name, role and sign-in records for administrators, staff and teachers.
  • Organization profile: organization address, logo, branding, business type, website content, programs, batches, timings and gallery images published by the organization.
  • Student and parent information: student name, identifier, class or batch, section, guardian name and contact number, and other fields the organization chooses to record.
  • Attendance information: daily attendance marks, leave requests and attendance summaries.
  • Fee and payment information: fee structures, invoices, dues, payment status, receipts and transaction references. Card, UPI and bank credentials are entered on the payment provider's page and are never stored by InfoConn.
  • Academic content: announcements, homework, timetables, e-content files and calendars uploaded by the organization.
  • Communication records: notification and WhatsApp message logs, including recipient number, message status and timestamps.
  • Website enquiries: name, mobile number, email, area of interest and message submitted through an organization's public page.
  • Assistant interactions: the text of requests you submit to InfoConn AI, and the text produced by your browser when you use voice input.
  • Technical information: log data such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and error reports, used to keep the service secure and working.

3. How we use information

  • To provide, operate and support the platform for your organization.
  • To authenticate users and protect accounts from unauthorised access.
  • To process subscriptions and to enable fee collection through the payment provider.
  • To deliver notifications and reminders that the organization chooses to send.
  • To answer requests submitted to InfoConn AI and to enforce usage limits.
  • To respond to enquiries and support requests.
  • To detect, investigate and prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents.
  • To meet legal, tax, accounting and audit obligations.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use student information for advertising.

4. Payments and Razorpay

Online payments are processed by Razorpay. When a payment is initiated, the payer is taken to Razorpay's secure checkout and enters payment details there. InfoConn receives the payment outcome and a transaction reference so that the organization's records can be updated; we do not receive or store full card numbers, UPI PINs, CVV or bank credentials. Razorpay handles that information under its own privacy policy and terms.

Where an organization connects its own payment account, payouts are settled by the payment provider directly to that organization.

5. WhatsApp notifications

Organizations may send fee reminders and notifications over WhatsApp, either through InfoConn's platform-managed WhatsApp Cloud API service or through their own WhatsApp provider account. To deliver a message we share the recipient's WhatsApp number and the message content with Meta Platforms, which operates the WhatsApp Cloud API. Meta returns delivery information — such as sent, delivered, read or failed — which is stored against the message record.

Organizations are responsible for obtaining the consent required to message their students and parents, and for honouring opt-out requests. Recipients can ask their organization to stop messaging them, or contact us at the address below.

6. InfoConn AI and voice input

InfoConn AI answers questions and helps carry out tasks inside the platform. Requests, and the limited context needed to answer them, are sent to our AI service provider to generate a response. Actions that change your records require an explicit confirmation step.

Voice input uses the speech-recognition capability built into your own browser or device. Your browser converts speech to text; you can review or edit that text before submitting it. InfoConn does not record, upload or store audio. Speech recognition availability and accuracy depend on your browser and device, and speech may be processed by your browser or operating system vendor under their own terms.

A separate assistant on our public website answers general questions about InfoConn. It has no access to any organization's data.

7. Cookies and browser storage

We use essential cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your theme and language preference, remember interface choices, and keep the service secure. These are required for the platform to function. We do not use advertising cookies.

8. Service providers

We use a small number of providers to run the service:

  • Cloud hosting and application delivery.
  • Managed database, authentication and file storage.
  • Razorpay for payment processing.
  • Meta Platforms for WhatsApp Cloud API message delivery.
  • An AI model provider for InfoConn AI responses.
  • Email delivery for account and transactional messages.

These providers may only handle information as needed to deliver their service to us, and are bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations.

9. Security

Access to organization data is restricted to authenticated users of that organization, and data is separated per organization at the database level. Traffic is encrypted in transit. Credentials for third-party services are held server-side and are never sent to the browser. Administrative actions are recorded in an audit log. No online service can promise absolute security, but we work to protect your information and to respond quickly if a problem occurs.

10. Data retention

Organization data is retained for as long as the organization's account is active, because attendance, fee and payment records are working records the organization relies on. When an account is closed, or when an organization asks us to delete data, we remove it within a reasonable period, except where records must be kept for legal, tax, billing, fraud prevention or audit reasons. Message and audit logs are retained for a limited operational period.

11. Your rights and requests

You may ask to access, correct, export or delete your information. Students, parents and staff should contact their organization first, since the organization controls its records and can make most changes directly in InfoConn. If you contact us instead, we will refer the request to the relevant organization or act on its instructions.

Deletion requests, including requests from users who signed in through a Meta or Google account, can be submitted following the steps on our Data Deletion page.

12. Children and student information

InfoConn is not intended for direct use by children. Student records, including records about minors, are entered and controlled by the organization, which is responsible for having the appropriate authority or parental consent. We handle that information only on the organization's instructions and do not use it for any independent purpose.

13. International processing

InfoConn is operated from Bangalore, India. Some of our providers operate infrastructure or support functions outside India, so information may be processed in other countries. Where that happens, we rely on the provider's contractual data-protection commitments.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the platform changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be communicated to account administrators.
